Information Sessions
All prospective patients must attend a free information session before coming for a consultation. Sessions can be attended in person, or online, and both provide the same information to help you decide if bariatric surgery is the right choice for you.
In-Person Seminars
Our in-person seminars are held at multiple locations, including Manhattan, Staten Island and Long Island. During this session one of our bariatric surgeons will take you through each procedure option, and the risks and benefits associated with surgery. There will be time at the end for questions and answers, as well as an opportunity to speak with different members of our team. There is no cost to you to attend the information session. Please bring paper and pen to take notes. To view a calendar of available session dates, please click here.
New Location
We are happy to announce that we will now be performing surgery out of the Northern Westchester Hospital, located in Mt. Kisco, NY. This facility is accredited by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery as a Center of Excellence as well as being a Planetree hospital, which means patient care is priority one. All of our surgeons are certified to perform surgery at NWH as well as NYU Langone Medical Center, and we are excited to expand our expert services to the greater Westchester area. We have added three new seminars to our schedule to accommodate patients from this area.
In addition, Dr. Fielding will be hosting a seminar in Lakewood, NJ in June. Please register here.
Online Seminars
We understand that not everyone is able to attend our in-person seminar. Perhaps your work schedule will not allow it. Perhaps it is difficult to find a babysitter, or maybe you just live too far away. With this understanding, we have created an online seminar, offering the same information you will find at our in person seminars, from the comfort of your own home. In order to view this seminar, you will need to have the latest version of Flash. Click here to download the latest version. You will also be asked a series of 20 true/false questions throughout the seminar, to help ensure you are understanding and retaining the information being provided. At the conclusion of the seminar, there will be information as to how you can get started with our program.
Step 1: To register for and view the online seminar, please click here. If you have already registered for our seminar but were not able to complete and would like to view the seminar again, please click here.
Step 2: When you have completed the seminar, please download and print our Patient Information Packet, available for download below. These documents will help you navigate your pre-surgical requirements.
